Like a lot of online marketers, you might be doing this part-time while working a full time job. You might only have a few hours a day to work your business. So what can you do to have success in online marketing while working a full-time job?

I understand that it is not easy to work your full-time job and your online marketing business part time and still find time to spend with your family. Family time is very important and should never be neglected. You should also be able to find time to relax and do the things you like to do. I always find time to play golf during the weekend.

So How Can I Have Success Marketing Online Part Time?

If you only have a few hours a day to work your online marketing business, then you need to utilize paid marketing strategies such as PPC, Ezines, and Solo Ads along with free marketing strategies such as blogging and Video Marketing. Since you have a full time job you don’t really have a lot of time to only use free marketing strategies, but you might have some money to invest in paid strategies to help get your business off the ground faster.

I recommend that you budget a certain amount of money each month for paid strategies. But before you start spending your money on paid strategies, you might want to take a courses to learn how to effectively use those paid strategies.

If you wanted to do solo ads for example, you might want to take a course or two in copy writing to learn how to grab the reader’s attention. Here are two courses that I recommend:

Learning those important skills can make the difference between someone opening your email or just deleting it from their inbox.

What Can I do While Learning Copy Writing Skills?

If you feel that your copy writing skills needs work, but want to start marketing your business today, you can have your solo ads written for you for a fee. There are sites such as scriptlance.com where you can have a solo written for you for a reasonable price.

There is also a site I have recently started to use, which is MyWizardAds.com . MyWizardAds.com offers a variety of services for reasonable prices. You can have Articles and solo Ads Written for you and they also submit your ads to different Ezine and Solo Ad Services.

There are many other solo Ad Services out there, but you want to be careful when selecting them. Solo Ad services that tell you that you will get guaranteed traffic are probably the ones you should avoid since most of the time the traffic is artificial. You can also use the online marketing forms to get ideas on what solo ad services are right for you.

Can I Make a Fortune With Pennies?

Today my dad told me about a show he was watching on TV. AKA the automatic income reducer….or is it since you can get some money making tips watching TV.  This show was about a person named Joe Henry who was hording over two hundred thousand pennies in a shed next to his house. All of those pennies were made in 1982 or earlier, which are all made of 95% copper. The copper value of those pennies are priced at $0.024 on the date of this blog post.

What Joe Henry would do is go to a bunch of banks in his home town and purchase bags of pennies and would use a machine that would automatically sort the copper pennies from the zinc pennies. He would keep the copper pennies in orange buckets in his shed and bring the zinc pennies back to the bank and start the whole process over again.

The reason why he and other penny horders are doing this doing this is because of the anticipation of congress discontinuing the use of the penny and nickle since inflation has virtually made them obsolete. The video states that once congress gets rid of the penny, people will be able to melt their copper pennies.

It is currently illegal to melt any penny however and there is a law against taking more than $5 worth of copper pennies out of the United States.

Later that day, I decided to go through my spare change and gathered all the pennies from 1982 to earlier. I found 66 pennies that were copper out of 320, which was 21% of the pennies in the jar. I took those copper pennies and put them in a place where I will be keeping those pennies. Of course I don’t plan on doing it on a large scale like those in the video, but you never know. It seems like a great way to hedge against inflation.

by the way, In the United States, we really don’t carry around coins like the rest of the world does. When I was in Europe I found that paper Money started at 5 Euros. There were 1 and 2 Euro coins. Coins in the United States only go up to $0.25 and most of them just end up in a jar on my shelf and are later taken to the bank to be exchanged for Paper Money.

How Does this Relate to Online Marketing

The way this penny story relates to online marketing is that it is a numbers game. I mentioned that 21% of the pennies in my Jar were Copper. That is a pretty good percentage for marketing conversions. Online marketing is a numbers game that involves exposing as many people to your products or services and having a percentage of your visitors opt into your capture page to get on your list and then having a percentage of those people buy.

By increasing the amount of visitors to your website and having the same percentage of people opt in and buy, you will be able to increase your sales and income. This can be done through paid advertising, which can substantially leverage your marketing efforts.

By manually going through several thousand pennies, It would probably take me hours to sort the coins out and I would probably get tired of sorting. But If I automated the process by investing in a machine like Joe Henry did, I could speed up the process substantially.

That is what paid advertising such as PPC and solo ads can do for you. It will expose more people to your product or opportunity in a shorter amount of time. It is especially beneficial if you are building your online business part time and don’t have a lot of time to add friends on Facebook and post articles on hundreds of article directories.

If you are a home business owner in the United States who has made a substantial amount of income this year, you are probably anticipating a huge tax bill when filing your 2011 income tax return.

I have listed six tax strategies and deductions that may help you to reduce the amount of money you owe to Uncle Sam with the filing of your 2011 income tax return.

Please note that I am not here to give you tax advise. Before you take any action on any tax strategy or deduction, I highly recommend that you consult with your CPA/Tax Accountant and or Financial Adviser to determine if any of those strategies are right for you.

1. State Estimated Tax Payments-If you pay estimated tax payments to the state, you might want to pay them in December 2011 instead of January 2012 so that you can take the state tax deduction on Schedule A in 2011 instead of 2012. Check with your tax accountant before doing this since you might be subject to the Alternative Minimum Tax meaning you won’t receive any benefits for additional state tax deductions.

2. Contribute Money to a Retirement Account-If you have the money available, you might want to contribute the maximum amount to a Tax Deductible Retirement account. These accounts could include Simple IRA, SEP-IRA (Simplified Employee Pension), Solo 401 (k), traditional IRA, etc.

SEP IRAs are great for self employed home business owners. With a SEP IRA you can deduct up to lessor of 25% of your income or $49,000 for the 2011 Tax Year. Money can be contributed for the 2011 tax year up to April 17, 2012. Your Tax Adviser will determine your maximum allowed SEP IRA contribution when you have your income tax return prepared.

3. Purchase Office Equipment and Furniture-If you are planning to purchase new furniture and equipment such as a new desk, office chair or computer, you might want to do it in December instead of January so that you can write them off in 2011.

4. Home Office Deduction-If you work out of your home you can deduct a portion of your home that you use exclusively for business. Keep in mind that this office space must be used exclusively for business and you can only benefit from it as a sole proprietor if your business has income.

5. Charitable Contributions-Not only did you get involved in a home business to improve the lives of you and your family, but you also got involved to improve the lives of others. This is why it is a great idea to give back to those who are less fortunate by donating money to a charity of your choice before December 31, 2011. If you have old clothes, furniture etc around the house, it is best to donate them to goodwill or the salvation army before the end of the year as well.

6. Travel Expenses-If you did a lot of traveling relating to business this year, you can deduct all expenses related to business travel including Air Fare, Hotel and meals. An Example of business travel could include going to a two day internet marketing seminar in Orlando Florida. However, you Cannot Deduct the airfare of other family members who go there for pleasure nor the tickets to the Walt Disney World Theme parks for example.

There many other ways to save money on your income taxes for the 2011 tax year. Your CPA/tax accountant will let you know of any other deductions you may benefit from as well.

Empower Network Late Night USTREAM Update

Last Night at around 12:30am Eastern Time, David Wood and David Sharpe did a late night U-Stream about some exciting Empower Network updates. In case you missed it, I have posted the video Below.  They explained all of the improvements that are taking place right now to eliminate the technical issues that they are currently having right now.

Empower Network is Down But Not Out

If you have been trying to signup for Empower Network, you probably realized that you are not able to sign up due to technical difficulties with the site. Empower Network has gone from a few members to about 10,000 members in just one month.

They have had issues with people getting their merchant accounts approved and issues with members practicing unethical business practices. Their business model is also being investigated. In addition they have had handfuls of other issues, which relate to a rapidly growing company.

Simply put, they are experiencing a lot of growing pains.

I just wanted to share with you a video where David Wood, Co Founder of Empower Network Explains every single problem that Empower Network has been having and how they are going to be resolving the issues. This video is a great lesson about honesty and integrity. I don’t know of many founders of companies who are as honest as David Wood. Most companies would just brush their dirt under the rug and forget about it.
