Six Reasons to Start a Home Based Business
Millions of people look to start a home based business every single day. They do so for many reasons. Everyone has different reasons. Here are the six common reasons why people want to start a home based business.
- Financial Stability
- Time Freedom
- Income Potential
- Family Time
- Location Flexibility
- Tax Benefits
Financial Stability
You can have a lot of financial stability and security because you are not relying on a paycheck from your boss to pay for your bills. You are probably aware that the nation currently has a high unemployment rate. Experts predict that it will probably take years to recover the millions of jobs that were lost during the recession. If you still have a job, there is no guarantee that you will have that job next month or two months from now. Employers are always replacing employees nearing retirement with younger employees who are accepting lower pay. So if you are over 50, your job is probably more vulnerable.
By starting a home based business, you don’t have to worry about being laid off because you are your own boss and you have control over your financial situation.
Time Freedom
By being your own boss you also have time freedom and flexibility. You don’t have to wake up early to be at your job at the time your boss says you need to. You can wake up anytime you desire and go to work when you want to. You can also leave to pick up the kids from school or go to the doctor or dentist without having to tell your boss. You can go on vacation when you want for as long as you want. You never have to worry about not having enough sick days. A home based business will give you all these flexibilities.
Income Potential
You can also make as much income as you desire. It is up to you how much work you want to put into your business. You will make a lot more money than you will ever make working for someone else. People in the network marketing industry are making five even six figures on a monthly basis.
Family Time
A home based business is ideal for people who want more family time including working mothers. Since the 1980s the number of households with two incomes has been increasing. This has caused a lot of issues with families. No wonder why divorce rates are very high. Working moms drop their children off at daycare and don’t see them for the rest of the day. They spend all day at work and when they come home, they are burned and stressed out from work and still have to take care of the kids and the house. Working moms who work from home have a better quality of life and are happier with their marriage. Their children do better throughout life as well.
Location Flexibility
With a home based business, you can live anywhere you desire. You don’t have to worry about being transferred thousands of miles away from friends and family so that your company can cut costs. Children who don’t have to move from place to place throughout their childhood have a better quality of life than children who move constantly from location to location.
Tax Benefits
You can also benefit from many tax advantages of owning a home based business. All of your ordinary and necessary business expenses are tax deductible. These are expenses that you need to incur to keep your business running. You can also deduct a portion of your home that you dedicate exclusively for business.
