Many network marketers are moving online to find more people to help grow their business. Although Online marketing is a great way to grow your business, you really need to know what your doing to drive traffic to a lead capture page. Many people spend so much time online and don’t ever talk to people. They feel like they can make a lot of money not having to talk to people on the phone. However, most people won’t join before talking to someone over the phone. But many people won’t call their prospects that they generate online since they are scared of the phone. I have been in that situation myself.

I just listened to a conference call from Todd Falcone. He was talking about some of the things that you should avoid like the plague in Network Marketing. Here are 25 Things that he said you should avoid doing at all costs.

1. Talking Down to People

2. Exaggerating Earnings (AKA Lying)-This could get you in trouble with the FTC

3. Ridiculous Product claims – Claiming that a product will cure a disease when It really doesn’t. This could also get you in trouble with the FTC.

4.Don’t Play Money Games -This Includes Cash Gifting which is illegal.

5. Don’t be a hypster

6. Don’t Jump from company to company-Pick a horse and ride it.

7. Don’t Lie about anything

8. Don’t Cross Recruit

9. Don’t make any guarantees you can’t back up – Don’t say that you will put all the heavy hitters in someone’s downline for example.

10. Don’t flake on appointments

11. Don’t Screw up on Three way calls. Learn how to do a three way before actually doing one.

12.Don’t align yourself with people with bad raps

13. Don’t put out content with massive typos- Make sure that you use spell check before sending out emails, posting blogs, etc.

14.Don’t be the Chaser – View this video to find out what people do when you chase them with your opportunity.

If you avoid those twenty five things like the plague, then you will more than likely have success in network marketing and stay out of trouble.

Online Affiliate Marketing is a great way to fund your primary business and pay for your monthly autoship costs. Most people, when they join a network marketing company, don’t take advantage of online affiliate marketing and end up leaving money on the table every month. Instead, they are told by their upline to make a list of their warm market, which includes friends and family members and convince them to join the business opportunity.

This takes a lot of time and and is not very effective since only a small percentage of those people join their opportunity. Of that small percentage that join, most of them usually quit within 90 days. People will eventually run out of friends and family members to talk to. With online affiliate marketing you are able to fund the cost of your network marketing business, including your auto ship and advertising, by marketing low-cost affiliate marketing tools and products. These products usually are $50 or less and provide value to people. This can be done by driving traffic to a website and providing an offer for people to opt in to an auto responder for more information.

When visitors opt in, their information is captured and they receive follow up emails with valuable free to low cost information, training and products. You can set up the follow up emails in a way that you will build relationships with those prospects so that they will want to buy from you. People will buy those products since they provide a lot of information and value. This will provide income for you which will cover your auto ship and other network marketing business expenses.

Over time, people will start to see you as a leader and will be more likely to buy from you since they want to do business with leaders. Once people start to see you as a leader, they will want to join your network marketing opportunity, which is your back-end product.

Online affiliate marketing is a great way to fund your primary business, build relationships and position you as a leader. By doing this, you will set yourself up for success in your network marketing business since you will only have people who are serious join your primary business opportunity.

How to Build Trust in Network Marketing

In network marketing, building trust with your prospects is very critical for your success in the industry. As a network marketer, you are in the business of making sales. If your prospects don’t have trust in you, you will not make any sales. You are probably wondering what steps you need to take in order to build trust with your prospects so that they will want to buy from you.

Since you are in the network marketing industry, you need to talk to people to build relationships of trust with them. The conversations that you initiate with someone eventually turns into relationships of trust which then leads to making a sale.

Of course you will need a way to turn complete strangers into friends and friends into customers or distributors. This is called your sales cycle. In your sales cycle, there are 6 components that you should follow.

1. Create Product or Service Awareness

You can create product or service awareness in many ways. You could blog or write an article about it. You can also do a Youtube video if you are comfortable getting in front of a camera. You will want to talk about your experiences and frustrations and how you found a solution to solve those issues.

2. Provide value and solutions by showcasing you knowledge for free.

To provide value, you can make a video or write an article that will send people to your website or blog. On your blog, people could sign up for a free five-day training course for example.

3. Continue to give value but offer something to your prospect that costs money.

Although it is nice to offer information for free, you should offer your prospects a low cost item for them to buy. This should be something that costs $50 or less and that is worth 10 times the value.

4. Over deliver on the low cost purchase by inviting them to something special

One way to over deliver is to provide private team training which you could do through live video or skype. This should be done on a weekly basis. If you are new and your sponsor already has something like that, then you should mention that in your ads and invite your downline to the meetings.

5. Offer your customer a higher priced Item.

This is where you introduce your customer to your primary business. This item requires more time commitment and dedication. Remember that you should only invite those who are serious about growing the business.

6. Rinse and Repeat Daily

You need to evaluate where your network marketing business is heading and make adjustments as necessary. Find out what is working and what is not working. Continue to do the things that are working for you and discontinue doing things that are not working for you.  Find out what areas in your business need improvement and take steps to improve in those areas.

As a network marketer, you will need to constantly be doing this. You need to be prospecting and meeting new people on a daily basis. Remember that most of your prospects will not buy from you or join your primary business right away since they are not ready to buy or just don’t trust you YET. But when they are ready to buy and they do trust you, you will start making sales.

If you want to have massive success in your network marketing business, you will need to have the mindset of a millionaire. People who have success in network marketing and make five figures a month and six figures a year have the mindset of a millionaire. They have developed that mindset way before making six figures a month. They have a strong why, set goals and achieved those goals by following a game plan. They focused on one company while others jumped from company to company and stuck to one marketing method while others tried everything under the sun.

Maintaining the mindset of a millionaire requires dedication and effort. You need to be focused on what you have instead of what you don’t have. For Example, you should be thankful that you have a place to sleep and that you can afford to put food on the table. Too many people in the world that don’t have those things.

Too many people who have those things focus on what they don’t have, get frustrated and end up getting nowhere. When you focus on what you have, you will be a happier person and will attract more abundance.

Every morning, you should take time to write down five things you are thankful for and five things that you want to achieve in your business. Writing these things down will help you to focus on what you have and what you want to achieve. It will reinforce what you are thankful for and lead you to abundance.

It is also important to find out what your WHY is, write it down and put it where you can see it every day. Your Why is always different from other people. Your why could be to become more financially independent, have a better life style for your family, put your children through college, etc. Those things are what will motivate you to set goals and achieve those goals.

The goals that you want to set for yourself should include both short-term and long-term goals and action plans and deadlines to achieve those goals. Short-term goals should be goals that you want to achieve in 90 days or less. Long-term goals are goals that you will want to achieve within a year. An action plan should be made to achieve those goals and deadlines should be set so that you don’t procrastinate taking action. Keep in mind that the goals that you set should be reasonable and attainable. You want to set a goal to make $1,000/month before you set a goal to make $5,000/month.

When many people get started in network marketing, they tend to jump from company to company since they are hoping that the next company that they join will give them the success that they are looking for. This is a huge mistake since it is not the company that is causing them to struggle. It is them because they lack the skills and mindset necessary to have massive success. Instead of spending money to join another company, you should invest the money in education and training.

Finally you should find a marketing method that you are comfortable with and stick with it until you have mastered it. Too many people will try one method and find that they are not getting the results they want and move on to another method. They are spreading themselves thin and are not giving themselves a chance to learn how to master that method. If you stick with a method that you are comfortable with, you will eventually see results.
